Good stuff. She loves it. I bought one and i liked it so much that i bought the same for my mother. I love it. The only complaint i have is that its not very upgradable. but for now and prolly the next few years, ill be happy.
I am having a couple of issues that are Windows related. I was originally going to get a Mac for twice the money. I'm glad I got this one, and saved the money. But, that's Windows not the Sony Vaio. I highly recommend this computer.
Very, very nice design in an all-in-one PC package. The only small issue was with the DVD/CD cover. Excellent value in features for the price. Apple PC's can't come close in the value/price ratio. It was loose from the box and had to be put back on. No problems since this simple repair.
The performance of this machine is excellent and the display quality rivals my HDTV. I bought this computer to replace a ten-year-old desktop that was definitely showing its age. I wanted an all-in-one type with wi-fi and bluetooth (to easily share files with my cell phone). I never upgraded my last desktop. They will scan and "repair" what they found, but when the software runs again, the same problems are found every time as if the repairs didn't actually happen. With the wireless, it leaves me free to set it up anywhere in the house and be able to move it around easily when I feel like it.
The defrag utility performs it's function to completion but if I start it up again it will say that the disk is still fragmented. I couldn't be happier with it. I do have some minor software issues that I'll have to iron out. Couple this computer with a wireless printer (which I did), and you have an extremely flexible system unencumbered by wires that looks great sitting on an end table in the living room or anywhere else. The all-in-one types are not as upgradeable as the traditional desktops with the tower but that is not an issue for me. The same is true of the Windows Live One Care utility and the VAIO Care utility.
I didn't downgrade my rating for these issues though because system performance as of yet has not been affected and I am very happy overall with this computer.
